The Secret Garden

For the contest:
Decided to try something new this time, so I combined the two metal mediums I work with - wire and filigree - to make this piece. Summer in Singapore is year-round and very intense, and not exactly something I need reminding of, seeing as everytime I step outside the searing humidity of 95F is there to slap me in the face So I decided to make this piece based on my dream summer Inspiration is taken from The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgeson Burnett, and a wish for a summer that's full of colours and flowers and life.

This lovely pendant was inspired by the beautiful Secret Garden, and features a glittering Amethyst Swarovski Crystal butterfly. Two delicate roses in lilac and cream perch among the silver wires that wind like brambles over an intricate filigree frame. Accented with silver and stardust beads, this piece is full of magic and whimsy.
